Something new everyday:
Today I finally explored the wonderful world of blogging, and this is the result! Something new, novel, and fresh! My goal and desire this year is to step out and try things I've never done before. Sometimes it will be little things, sometimes it will be heart-pumping exciting things, and sometimes it will be things I never would've done if God hadn't been making my heart new. Enjoy the blog, here's what's happened so far!
January 18
Today I combined lots of relaxing things! Bath+bubbles+candle+coffee+cookies etc.etc.etc.= a very lovely evening. No more work day stress for me! Hehe. First time I had a bath in a house that isn't my parents'....
January 17
Today I ended up on the wrong bus and got a fun tour of Hamilton's periphery. No prob bob, it happens.
I also pulled out my textbooks for the first time since graduating! Boy I miss learning! Now, I don't usually write in my texts, but I was reading through my Ornithology Manual and came across a spelling mistake that I had corrected in purple pen. hehe. spelling..
January 16
Today's something new is a double whammy!
First, I experienced an interestingly new combination of emotions. I have been dreading for quite a while the fact that I had to tell my boss about my vacation plans. Today, with nerves of steel, Itold him. In the most nonchalant tone ever, he said "ok, write it on the calendar". My fear turned to shock at the anti-climatic situation, then worry and anxiety again when I realized he is still processing it and will probably fire me later this week.. :/

Tina Dekker, I made a NEW recipe today! Yum yum yum, lasagna rolls with a few recipe tweaks.

Something new everyday. Today I got out-animal-loved by my coworkers. While I voted to exterminate the mouse we caught at work, everyone else begged me to let him go. So here's the little vermin enjoying his regained freedom.

Today I checked out London's new Chinese supermarket and bought and ate kimchi and pocky with
Frietzen VanderMeulen and
Tina Dekker! Also took the greyhound from London to Hamilton for the first time, not too bad of a trip!

Today I played a new card game: Five Crowns. Pretty fun, but I lost. ALSO, my favourite Lily and my favourite male Gabe got engaged, to each other even! How's that for something new? splendid eh.

Something new everyday. Today I checked out a local meat mart and cafe and discovered these awesome sandwiches! Guess how much I paid for this?

Something new everyday.
Oh God, make my heart new. Today I tried not to complain about my boss, but failed. While I didn't remedy that, I did give an extra bus ticket to make up for yesterday's failure.
In addition, my wonderful housemates give me new experiences all the time! Today I took my toaster out of the freezer in order to make toast. I also looked for the salt in the freezer later on, but to no avail..
January 9
Today I broke the law.
Sorta. Kinda. Well ya, technically I did. I used my cousin's student card and bus pass.. fraud! We're both blonde, so it worked.. but ya. I felt bad about it. Not only that, but my bus adventure was purposeless! The travel doctor was playing hookey.
AND I took home a Florida cockroach from work today. Haven't done that before!

Today I followed the advice of a cool pastor I know: I read the whole book of Luke in one sitting. It really brings new perspective, you should try it!

Something new everyday!
Today I visited one of Hamilton's libraries, hurray! Never been there before. Lots of great treasures there!
I also learned a few Indonesian phrases:
Saya tidak bisa bicara bahasa Indonesia. - I cannot speak Indonesian.
Saya perlu kopi. - I need coffee.
Di mana cenderawasih? - Where is the bird of paradise?
I probably wont need to learn anything else for my trip...

Today I beat a boy at video games. 4 times in a row. That's actually not THAT new.. so here's another: I discovered that the pokemon Vileplume (

January 5
First time I walked to work in the winter! Up the Hamilton mountain, 500 stairs, with my hat, coat, 'n mitts, and a backpack filled with water bottles. ALSO, made some fun last minute game night plans with a friend with whom I have 3 things in common: a birthday, a 1st year calculus exam, and current city of residence! Certainly never had that before!

Today's somethings new are brought to you by my boss and the rodents of M25H. First my boss asked me to vacuum a tile floor.. and then I caught a mouse in a pickle jar! Never done either of those before. :)

Resolving to do something new everyday.
Today I poured out a whole bag of milk down the sink! (It had gone bad) Boy was that fun! Also sold my bunnies in Hamilton (and got a bajillion requests for them!) AND correctly guessed the last 4 words to a Doctor Who episode within the first 5 minutes.
Grand.

Today I joined Harvest Oakville's church group and wandered downtown Hamilton. Met some fine folks and some interesting conversations. Never done that in Hamilton before!
